Officials Drawn to DuPont Turkey Sustainable Agriculture and Food Summit

On Wednesday, May 28, leaders in food and agriculture gathered in Istanbul, Turkey, to discuss the regions food security and reliability, the role of sustainable agriculture, and innovative food and nutrition solutions.

A panel moderated by Özlem Dalga, Bloomberg HT Economy Coordinator, was held in the second part of the Summit. Included on the panel:

Nevzat Birişik, Ph.D Deputy General Manager, General Directorate of Food and Control Republic of Turkey Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock; Levent Dağaşan, Associate Prof. , CEO of SVL Food Biotechnology Consulting; Lucy Hurst, Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) Custom Research Director; Jeff Rowe, DuPont Pioneer Europe Regional Director; and Ayşegül Akın,PH.D. Assistant Representative of FAO Turkey.

Gathering all the leaders in any food and agriculture organizations to discuss about an important topic about food security can be a great way of enhancing the quality farming and an important thing in terms of supplying the people a safe and better quality of foods. It is a proof how things like this are handled properly. Great ideas from this different minds can be a key to the success in farming. Kudos to all of you!
